The innovation allowing engineering master's and doctoral candidates to apply for degrees based on practical achievements shatters the shackles of "paper supremacy." It has enabled science educators from 43 elite universities to teach in primary and secondary classrooms. This fusion of "excellence" with "grassroots engagement" is redefining engineer training paradigms. Reforms like balanced school allocation in secondary entrance exams and the implementation of college entrance exam reforms across 29 provinces establish a selection system that reduces burden without compromising quality—reflecting a nuanced understanding of balancing equity and efficiency.
Amidst the wave of digital transformation, Chinese education demonstrates remarkable innovation. The national smart education platform has created a digital learning space for 160 million users, extending to over 220 countries. Through its multilingual international editions and upgraded Smart 2.0 version, it transforms premium resources into global public goods.
